Verizon has announced an “industry-first” plan for its mobile and home phone services offering a 3-year price lock guarantee for existing and new customers.
Effective April 3, Verizon said it is the “first and only carrier in the industry” to offer such a deal on its myPlan and myHome network plans.
The company added that current customers don’t need to take any action, and that all existing myPlan customers will be automatically enrolled.
“And, every time you change your myPlan, the price lock resets for another 3 years,” Verizon said.

Verizon said the change allows for customers not to worry about price changes for core functions like calling, texting and data, but does exclude items like taxes, fees and other perks.
Additionally, Verizon said that its trade-in policy means any customer on a myPlan plan gets a “free phone when they trade-in any phone, [in] any condition from Apple, Google or Samsung.”

For myHome plans, a home internet router is included in the deal “at no additional cost” and with “no extra fees,” Verizon said.
The company also said that it is the “first and only in the industry” to guarantee free satellite text messaging on qualifying devices with its myPlan service.
