After Erika Jayne confronted Sutton Stracke about her behavior towards Dorit Kemsley on Season 14, Episode 16 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the ‘Wives are trying to weather the now stormy seas in Saint Lucia on Episode 17.
Jennifer Tilly, for her part, says she can see both sides of the argument in the above preview clip. That said, “Obviously I’m Sutton’s friend, so I gotta have Sutton’s back,” she explains. “I’m not gonna be like, ‘Yeah, Erika’s right, you need to examine your own behavior, little missy.’”
Later, as the ‘Wives are getting ready for dinner, she talks more with Sutton about what happened.
“I’m really kind of astonished at how much the girls don’t like you,” she jokes.
Jennifer also reveals that she has a theory that Erika’s confrontation was planned. “It almost seemed very rehearsed, because Erika was [ticking things off her fingers] like a lawyer in court that had all their points prepped out,” Jennifer muses.
In her confessional, she admits, “I definitely think that there is an alliance between some of those ladies. When Erika and Dorit go after one person, and they’re saying things that dovetail together. It seems like they had discussed it beforehand. It’s kind of like, a little suspect.”
Sutton Stracke reflects on past and current drama with Erika, Dorit, and Kyle
Sutton, for her part, insinuates that Erika, Dorit and Kyle Richards have been ganging up on her for years.
“I never had anyone come to me and say, ‘You know, I’d really like to apologize to you. I was tough on you,’” Sutton tells Garcelle Beauvais. “No. They wanted to break me. They’ve been wanting to break me for years. I don’t want to do it anymore.”
Garcelle admits the tension in the group is a problem.
“I’m not saying Sutton’s innocent,” she said in her confessional. “Has Sutton put her foot in her mouth with this group? Absolutely. When she’s angry and she feels like she’s being cornered it’s not going to be good for anybody.”
Where does Sutton’s relationship with Kyle stand today?
Sutton and Garcelle also discusse Sutton’s relationship with Kyle in the Episode 17 preview, with Garcelle pointing out, “Kyle didn’t stand up for you.”
Sutton is dismayed at the current situation after they “had a really good weekend in Augusta” visiting Sutton’s mother earlier in Season 14.
The two had been navigating a rocky relationship since Season 13, when they clashed during a group trip to Las Vegas, and Sutton accused Kyle of not being forthcoming with personal issues in her life.
But by the start of Season 14, “All is right in the world with me and Kyle,” Sutton declared.
Now, the two seem to be going backwards.
“To be so set back with Kyle—I’ve just—I’ve had enough,” Sutton tells Garcelle in the Episode 17 preview.
