Jennifer Tilly made her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” debut as Sutton Stracke’s “friend of” in season 14 and she gave viewers a glimpse into her opulent lifestyle.
In episode 3, Tilly explained how her divorce from “The Simpsons” creator Sam Simon earned her a hefty paycheck.
“I was married to him for seven years and we were together for about 10 years. And then when we got divorced, I got a piece of ‘The Simpsons’ in the divorce settlement, and nobody knew that ‘The Simpsons’ was going to go on for trillions of years,” she told the camera.
In the same episode, Tilly showed off a Louis Vuitton boat purse with the chyron $33,000 on the screen. Later in the season at Tilly’s caftan party at Caviar Kaspia, she showed off an impressive stack of rings and bracelets that included several pieces from Bulgari. “It’s really good,” Erika Jayne told her.
Tilly even gets special treatment at Louis Vuitton. In a March 2024 Instagram post, she shared a carousel of pictures during a shopping trip that included champagne, crudites, and small appetizers. The last picture showed the “Bride of Chucky” star and her friend sitting at a restaurant with Tilly’s Louis Vuitton boat bag perched on the table.
Tilly Owns Multiple Properties
During episode 5 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Tilly detailed the four properties she owns. “I have a property in Las Vegas because my boyfriend and I are professional poker players.”
She continued, “I have a beach house in Malibu but we never go there because there’s a ghost there and he really doesn’t like us being there. I can’t blame him.” Tilly added, “I have two places in Bel Air right next door to each other.”
The one that was featured in the show was what Tilly called her “playhouse,” and she had a Bride of Chucky doll named Tiffany in a small chair wearing a custom Jean Paul Gautier dress that cost $4,500.
“My boyfriend and I live very simply in a very small cluttered house. Yes, there’s a giant house next door, but we don’t go there. I guess we’re kind of delusional,” Tilly told E! News in January.
She also clarified that the Louis Vuitton purse was not $33,000. “They must have had some intern look it up. It’s very rare, maybe on the secondary market they jacked up the price but I called my purse contact and I said, ‘How much did I pay for that purse?’ She said, ‘$22,000,’” Tilly explained.
Tilly Enjoys High-End Fashion
Even as a “friend of,” Tilly brought the fashion to “RHOBH” season 14 with her opulent gowns, colorful sunglasses, and sparkly jewelry.
The actor loves to make a statement, and on March 1, she posted pictures of her looking at a bright red Gucci gown with fur detailing. “Shopping for an Oscar dress,” she wrote.
On February 6, Tilly shared an Instagram pic of her wearing a long black dress with her face superimposed on it. “Trying on my new dress from #Balmain that has my face on it!” she captioned.
Tilly is a lover of jewelry as well and told The Hollywood Reporter in 2016 that she owns a piece that once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor.
“I always wanted a piece of jewelry from her ‘Cleopatra’ period because I’d read about how she used to hang out on Via Veneto in Rome and go into the Bulgari store, where they’d open vats of jewels,” she said.
Tilly added, “Every day I have jewelry on, it makes me really happy.”
