The Washington Nationals Cherry Blossom City Connect uniforms were widely praised, but after three seasons the Nats are launching a new City Connect uniform. In my humble opinion, they look pretty cool.
The blue uniforms are a new look and are an interesting option. I personally like the DC Metro map on the jersey. The hat still has a hint of the old Cherry Blossom aesthetic with the two little flowers on them.
Interestingly, Dylan Crews was front and center on the Nationals post announcing them. Since Juan Soto has left, the Nats really have not had a face of the franchise. However, they have a lot of young up and comers to choose from now. The three they showed were Crews, CJ Abrams and Mackenzie Gore.
I think the jersey’s are a solid new look. While the Cherry Blossoms were a cool look, not a whole lot of winning was going on in them. Hopefully these threads can be the start of a new era.
