The Cornell men’s basketball team is just one win away from a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Cornell will take on Yale for the Ivy League championship on Sunday, March 16 (3/16/2025), at Pizzitola Sports Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Sunday’s game will be Cornell’s first-ever appearance in the Ivy League title game. Before 2017, the Ivy League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament went to the regular-season conference champion. The Big Red has not been to the NCAA Tournament since 2020, when it reached the Sweet 16.
Cornell (18-10) reached the championship game with an 87-71 win over Dartmouth. Junior AK Okereke had 25 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four blocked shots and four steals. He became the first player in school history to score at least 20 points with at least four rebounds, four assists, four steals and four blocks in a game.
Yale (21-7) beat Cornell twice during the regular season: 103-88 in Ithaca on Feb. 8 and 92-88 in New Haven, Connecticut, 13 days later.
